Halloween season is part one of the holiday trifecta for me. It’s where spooky, weird, and wacky are not only allowed, but embraced. And I embrace the heck out of it, ha! My kiddos love seeing my creations and this Puking Pumpkin Cheese Dip really made them excited.
The dip itself is crazy easy to make. I simply added a can of refried beans, a can of pinto beans, a can of RO*TEL Original Diced Tomatoes & Green Chiles, and some easy melt cheese to a saucepan and warmed it all up together until the cheese was melted and the beans heated through. I added a generous amount of sliced green onion at the end. Once it was done, I transferred it into a bowl.

For the pumpkin, I simply drew on some squinted eyes and carved an open mouth into the face. I used a spoon to add some of the dip into the mouth for maximum puke effect.
I set the pumpkin on an upside down coffee cup that sat just above the bowl that I transferred the dip into. And I covered the serving area with a festive tablecloth to cover the coffee cup. I spooned a bit more of the dip into the pumpkin’s mouth so that it would drip into the bowl.
My kiddos could not wait to start dunking tortillas chips into the dip. And if I’m being honest, neither could I!
